I moved to the island in 2020. We’d visited lots of times, mostly in the winter, and loved the people, the place and even the wind!

I’ve always wanted to be a massage therapist because I think massage is incredibly powerful, for both our minds and our bodies. So in 2016 I studied for and achieved a diploma in Swedish Massage with The Scottish School of Massage whilst continuing to work in social care.

Since then I’ve massaged part time and gone on to learn other types of massage, including Oncology Massage, Dementia Friendly Massage, Hot and Cold Stones Massage.

I really enjoy being able to do something for people that makes a difference in some way, whether it’s helping to manage symptoms of discomfort or giving them a sense of peace during the massage. I feel very grateful to WICCI and in being able to offer massage to those of you who have been affected by cancer
